11. THE GENERAL CONDITION OF THE PARISH
11.1 PLAQUE IN THE SUNDAY SCHOOL
Cllr. R. Buckley advised it would be completed by the next meeting.
11.2 DAMAGE TO STONE FLAGS
No details of the Asda vehicle are known, we cannot pursue this matter further as we have no proof that the vehicle was responsible for the damage.
11.3 KEEPING ROADS AND PATHS CLEAN
The condition of Rainow Road and Well Lane has been reported to CEC Street Scene.
The road was actually cleaned shortly after the Parish Council Meeting.
11.4 BLOCKED GRIDS
CEC Highways have cleaned some grids. Cllr. Broadhurst to advise the Clerk which grids have not been done, if any.
The Clerk to request confirmation from Highways Dept. that the gully will be replaced/repaired at the junction between the unadopted road and Rainow Road.
11.5 REQUEST FOR PLASTIC WASTE SACKS.
The house owner now has small bins.
11.6 RAINOW ROAD SIGN
Resolved.
11.7 ROAD GRITTING
Cllr. Buckingham obtained a quote for gritting Roewood Lane and associated roads. Their price was in excess of £10K which is beyond the Parish Council budget.
He is going to approach Fairway Landscapes for a quote.
It was agreed that Cllr. Torr obtain a price from Fairway Landscapes for 4 No. slim line grit bins, similar to the one seen in Glasdon UK Ltd. Brochure at £126.95. To be secured in four different locations, 2 on Roewood, 1 on Well Lane and 1 on Cliff Lane.
Councillor Hayes would ensure they are filled by CEC. when they are in place before winter sets in.
11.8 DOG FOULING CAMPAIGN
The stencils and paint were found not to be suitable for uneven ground.
11.9 RE-PLANTING OF THE SHRUBS IN THE CAR PARK.
Cllr. Torr to obtain a quote from Fairway Landscape to replant this area and also to secure the bench leg at the seating area on the road leading to the recreation ground
12. REPAIR/RESURFACING OF THE UNADOPTED ROAD
Cllr. Torr to obtain a quote for resurfacing an area of the road which is to be limited to 10 ft width, spanning out at the junction to the full width of the gully.
14. NEXT PROJECT
14.1 PATH TO THE CAR PARK (STEPS)
The steps have been completed.
14.2 FLOWER BARREL PLANTER
A flower barrel tub has been purchased and is now in position next to the bench off Rainow Road.
A plaque in memory of C.F. Doncaster Esq. J.P. previously mounted on a Parish Bench which has now been replaced, has been saved by Cllr. Broadhurst. Cllr. Torr to mount the plaque onto the replacement bench.
15. Parish News Letter.
The Clerk produced the draft news letter which was approved subject to agreed changes. The final copy to be emailed to the Cllrs. for final approval and a price obtained for printing from CEC. The printed copies to be taken to the next meeting to agree distribution.
16.0 SHOOTING IN THE FIELDS
Residents were disturbed by shots being fired all day until dusk. Hopefully this will not occur again.
